The biggest printing centre in Lower Austria is based here, as are the regional ORF studio, P3 TV and also two other TV and radio stations with branches here. More than 80 editorial offices of various newspapers, magazines, specialist publications and press services are also based here.

The range of opportunities is augmented by the Polytechnic for Media Management. Many new creative agencies have likewise established themselves in the regional metropolis. Some of them have been awarded international prizes by the advertising industry.

The news agency of the Province of Lower Austria has its headquarters in the regional government district on the River Traisen.

The city council of the regional capital is both a publisher and a news agency service. The “RK – Rathauskorrepondenz St. Pölten” comes out daily as a media service provided by the regional capital, and the magazine “St. Pölten konkret” comes out monthly containing official news in the supplement.
