Innovation assistant
In addition there is the opportunity for SMEs to take on a subsidised new skilled employee to carry out a concrete innovation project.

Market entry
Small and medium-sized enterprises that produce technically sophisticated products receive a subsidy for international orientation of the Lower Austrian economy and for entry for the first time into new foreign sales markets.

Cooperation
Forming cooperation arrangements for the preparation of projects between SMEs or between SMEs and a research and technology establishment in two stages.

Local supply
“De Minimis” campaign for business investment and working capital loans for financing stocks of goods and for small local supply companies.

Austrian Research Support (Österreichische Forschungsförderungs-GmbH, FFG)

The “Research Support, Economy” department of the Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft (FFG) is the most important funding body in Austria for innovative economic projects. The competitiveness of the businesses based in the State is to be improved by support for research and development and by this means a contribution is to be made to securing jobs and added value and to the prosperity of Austria.

FWF – the Science Fund

FWF (Fonds zur Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Forschung, Fund for the Support of Scientific Research) – known for short as the Science Fund – is Austria’s central establishment for the support of basic research. The tasks of FWF include support for scientific research, of education and training by research and of scientific culture and the transfer of knowledge. FWF offers subsidies for precisely defined research aims in all areas of science.
